Do you know your Credit Score?

Wanted to share with you a resource I use every year to get a copy of my credit report.  If you were not aware your entitled to getting a copy of your credit report from the three major credit reporting agencies (Trans Union, Experion, Equifax).  Fundamentally getting a copy and correcting any mistakes is part of a sound financial strategy.  My favorite resource when it comes to getting a copy of your credit score is annualcreditreport.com.  Just remember that when you use this site it is absolutely free, however if you want ot see your actual score it will cost you extra, from $5.95 to $7.95 from each of the agencies.  Remember this cost is not from annualcreditreport.com, this is what each agency ranges for this service.  What I reccommend is that you just get your score from only two of the three agencies so it will cost you just over $10.  Be sure to use the online tools each credit agency to dispute inaccurate items, one of the most come inaccuracies is former addresses and employment history.  When I just pulled mine I noticed that on Trans Union not only did they have the wrong address where I never resided but they had a medical account that I had paid off years ago still showing as past due.  I used the handy dispute process and after a few days until a week later I had all my inncorrect information removed.
