there are several credit cards that are particularly ‘made’ for students, i think that the best move for you to make is to see for yourself… there are several deals and the best one should be something that is right for you, something that fits your lifestyle… so the decision should come from you… also try to build your credit to get better deals, found an article about tips on how to build your credit..

In general, the best way to use a credit card is to funnel your normal spending through it for the rewards and then pay it off in full each month. If that was your plan, then I’d suggest whichever student rewards credit card will pay you the most for your normal spending profile (on groceries, gas, entertainment, etc.). A couple good rewards cards are the Citi mtvU card and Citi Driver’s Edge for Students card.

However, if you’re only going to use your credit card in foreign countries occasionally, then your biggest concern should be to avoid the typical 3% foreign exchange fee when using your credit card outside the U.S. In that case, the best deal is almost always a Capital One card because Capital One eats all foreign exchange fees (0% fee for you). Cap One does have student cards too.

$300-$1000 is the norm. I suggest getting a captial one as they will give you a small credit limit $300 so you can learn how to manage debt.

The best card is NO CARD!!! Save cash for anything that might come up. Why start your adult life with debt you can’t pay??

HSBC has a student credit card. Usually the limit is around $500. They take into account that you might not have much of an established credit history. 1-800-975-4722 That’s their number. They are pretty good cards too. Mastercard. Accepted anywhere mastercard is accepted, worldwide too.
