This isn’t meant to be negative to either party, but I want to know from the republicans that if you reduce or eliminate taxes as the your wants.
Where is the money going to come from for the following?
1. Repairing our infrastructure that has been neglected for way to long.
2. Fixing our school systems.
3. Rebuilding our military after 7 years of war, because that equipment is worn out and needs to be replaced.
4. Fixing the financial system and markets.
5. Investing in alternative energy
Which “pet” projects are you willing to give up?
1. Elimination of the multimillion dollar farm bill?
2. Cuts to the military?
3. Cuts to Social Security / Welfare?
4. Cuts to education / medical research / science?
This doesn’t even count the 11 Trillion Dollar debt that we as a nation need to pay off, which comes out to about $33,000 per man, woman and child in the US.
So is the republican truly about “Country First” or is it the party of “My Greed First and ***** the rest”
And be nice in your answers, we have enough mud slinging as it is.
I want to thank you for the answers submitted. I have served on local government and know the budget process. As to the states doing their part – a lot of states will be doing major cuts to their budgets next year, due to decreases in the value of property, local sales and yes using less gas results in a decrease of the road use tax.

You are missing the big picture. Just because taxes are cut on companies does not mean that tax revenue will be reduced. There is plenty of evidence to support an increase in tax revenue with a corresponding decrease in corporate taxes. Companies are more willing to spend their money on hiring new employees which creates income tax revenue and corporations are more likely to spend their money in other infrastructure improvement which creates more tax revenue.
our infastructure also lies within the states to fix them..and they are doing a **** poor job the federal government shouldnt be fixing everything…
school systems again states…what about all those lotteries…those should be paying for the schools…other states should look to Georgia..thats how a lottery should be ran..each child that pays for lunch pays 1.25 regardless of income..no school fees…and new schools..every graduating senior if they have a good gpa goes to any state school free…all courtesy of the lottery and any resident of georgia regardless of where they graduated can go to a technical school free…again courtesy of the lottery

There are still going to be taxes. They didn’t say they wanted to completely eliminate them. Just make them less expensive so families can afford them. Only pay for the neccessities like these things: Repairing our infrastructure that has been neglected for way to long. I think country first also means that they are going to put our country and the people that live within it first. We are still going to pay taxes for all of the things you listed, but just without the extra government program spending. Hope this helped.
