Put the house under someone else’s name.

Usually the last thing they try to take from you is your home. The rules used to be they couldn’t, but now that they changed the law, the possibility is there. Most bankruptcy courts/judges though work with you to save your home.

How recently was the home paid off? If you neglected other creditors to pay off the house and then tried to declare bankruptcy, you will not be granted the privilege of declaring bankruptcy.
It’s none of my business why you’re declaring bankruptcy. Is there a possibility that you can avoid it? Maybe by selling the house, paying off the creditors and paying rent for a while til you’re ready to make another down payment and can afford a mortgage?
