No threat of Pakistans bankruptcy, says Tareen

WASHINGTON: Shaukat Tareen, adviser to the prime minister on finance, declared here at a news conference on Monday that Pakistan will not default on debt repayments, which were not due until next year and amounted to no more than $500 million. On my dead body, and maintained Pakistan is emerging as a strong country from economic point of views adding that there is no threat of Pakistan getting bankrupt.

He gave an upbeat account of his meetings..
